What are you guys putting on your overhead console?

I've seen some overhead consoles on at least one GTM, also SL-C. Looking to free up some center console space by potentially moving some functions up high.
I'm thinking ignition key (but I'll have to avoid a hanging keychain), starter button, kill switch, possibly fire suppression. Some things I wouldn't want myself or passenger to accidentally bump while playing with the hvac.
What are some things that would be well suited for moving up high?

I’ll be going with at least a fold down tablet that I can tap into my EMS and make any tuning changes on the fly. Can also tap into the Infinity Box System. Similar to at least one other one I have seen, just can’t think of the guys name at the moment. I’ll also throw up the Vintage Air controller and I like the idea of the push button start up there as well.

If I go with a fire suppression system, I’d like that right on the center dash. That way I can always have it in the corner of my eye just Incase. I’d hate to be fumbeling around with something over my head and not always in the corner of my perifery in the event of an emergency. I may have to go to Jupiter and sit in Jeff’s GTM and plan it out a bit while I’m installing the ebrake sheeetal piece I made for him.

I think we have the same car in mind.

I'm definitely going to confirm that everything is reachable with my 5 point harness on.

Yes, Sir we do I think he put a lot of thought and effort into his approach and it just makes sense for the direction I would like to go. The craftsmanship he put into his GTM is impressive, all the way down to 12 point aerospace fasteners.

I have built a small overhead console for a few of my customer's cars. The one attached has his Racelogic controller, Escort radar controls, dome lights and switches for suspension raise and lower. I've also done the same console with the VA AC controls, start switch and other misc switches. I know it's not as sexy as the example you guys are looking at, but it does provide a nice location for dome lights and stuff.

Exactly as beeman stated Shane. Its simple, compact, and to the point.

Plus for me, maybe small enough and simple geometry to explore a carbon fiber vacuum bag approach.

I can gladly make these for you guys if you want.....it's just 3 pieces of CNC-cut aluminum. I can give you the same LED dome light part numbers if you want those. The other one that I made had the VA AC controls where the Racelogic is on the one above....and 4 push-button switches instead of the radar detector stuff. The rocker switches on each side turn the dome lights on and off manually (and I had them wired to ISIS to automatically come on for 30 seconds when the door poppers were activated.

Shoot me an email if you're interested in having me make one for you.....all of the difficult drawing stuff is already done, so as long as what you want to add will fit in those spaces provided, it's easy enough to change the drawing a bit to fit the push buttons or whatever you want to add there.

I'll be redoing most of my interior (again) and getting rid of all hardware buttons, swtiches on the overhead console and
    center console.

At the moment I have ACCY PWR, IGN 1, IGN 2, and a spare switch on the overhead (green LED's)

The center has push start/stop, windows, HVAC, and two spare buttons (blue LED)

I'm pulling the stereo and installing a touchscreen to control everything from windows, to engine start, climate control, etc.

I will have to redo the CF on the console to coverup all the holes, but it will be worth it when it's done....(done?).
