Wire specs
I basically have know practical knowledge on wire types. Does anyone have any good reference material on wire used in the RF wiring harness? I have an older revision harness and need to add to what I have (for the hazard switch for example). I'm concerned I'll oversimplify what I need, but hopefully I'm overcomplicating it.

I use this chart http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...ingdiagram.jpg to determine what gauge wire to use. It's VERY conservative; other charts allow for smaller gauge wire or longer runs.
Figure out how long a run you need & the current to be supported, and choose your wire gauge accordingly. For your hazards, you'll be fine with 16 gauge unless you're doing something exotic.
If you want to know specifically what RF used, give them a call. Their tech support has always been very knowledgeable when I had a question.

Pretty good idea to use GXL or SXL wire rated for automotive applications in whatever gauge you need to power your device.
Buy your wire at automotive shops, NOT HD or Lowes, they don't [usually] carry anything but THHN THN or TW (house wire) not rated for 125°C.

Wirebarn is a great source for GXL and TXL wire, they come in multi-color packs too:

I don't have any experience with a RF harness, but I do know that Painless uses TXL.
I have also had good experience with Wire Barn. There are wire calculators on their web site.
