Gen 2 Body Engine Side Panel Fit

Had to cut a section out of the Side Panel to get it to fit between Hood and Lower Panel. Anyone else have the same issue?? I actually had an old Side Panel, and a new Side Panel, and they were the same>> The cut-out was about 1/4" to over 1" tapered.

I don't have the gen 2 but I know that is the way mine and others were on gen 1.

Yep. I have Gen 2 chassis 1121. I slanted my grill back as far as possible. Which is the look I want. So That made the lower skirt too short and side panel too tall . I had to cut the side panel down also about 5/8”. I block sanded the top of the lower skirt and the bottom of the side panel where they fit together so they would be perfectly flat for the gap. I measured from the bottom of the body up to he body line. Then I taped and clamped the lower skirt with the side panel together on the ground, then measured them, they were 5/8” taller. It appears that either way I was going to have to cut it.
