Bumper tube grommets other than **********

Anybody know of another source? Preferably one that actually delivers product after taking your money, or at least answers inquiries about order status---because ********** does neither.

Sad that ********** was actually part of our community for so many years and the new owner is disgracing their legacy.

I went on the search and found the following: https://www.customrubbercorp.com/App...D-Through-Hole
Unfortunately, it's not for sale. Reference number: 105094.

    Still looking...

I had heard the previous stories here about less-than-stellar service from **********, but I ordered a shifter from them anyway, figuring I probably wouldn't need it for a few months. It arrived three weeks later. Never got any communication from them. I agree that communication is not their strong suit, but at least in my n=1 the product finally arrived and was as expected.

I ordered the grommets, door panels, and a few other things from **********, they finally arrived the other day, but it was 5 weeks after I ordered. I would have been okay with the time if he had replied to my emails or returned phone calls. I was just about to dispute the charge with my credit card company when I received the tracking email.

I will say though, when I finally received the package, I was very pleased. Everything was packaged very nicely and safe. The products quality was great.

I found it strange that he would take the time to package everything so nice, but provide no customer service to us.

They are down to one person. I did get all my stuff from them in 3 weeks. I called and basically was told too busy to answer emails and return calls. They sounded like they were very overworked when I talked to the person on the phone. Still got very nice stuff from them.

I ordered a whole box of things, including grommets, about a month ago. Took 1.5 to 2 weeks to arrive and they sent me a notification when it went into the mail. I did have to send a note asking when it was going to ship about 3-4 days after I placed my order. All came professionally packaged.

I'm considering, if Kleiner hasn't already, requesting a quote for a thousand from the first site I posted.

I certainly don't have the time or the desire to be a site certified vendor, but like the site says "you don't find this in a catalog".

Yeah, obviously Miller is creating an artificial shortage by hoarding the darn things. BASTAGE!

kgkeys---not going to go for the thousand. I tried that with the O-rings and lost my a$$ when that didn't pan out as planned. I'm pretty sure Miller is behind that too and is undercutting me by selling inferior black market rings out the back door. DOUBLE BASTAGE!

way back when ... pre ********** ... we use to get PVC gromets at the parts stores for the bumper tube grommets! The kind that were for the valve covers - turns out that the PVC's were just about the right size!

Update on my quote request from Custom Rubber Corp... They haven't produced that part since 1999, customer owns the mold. So, that's a no go.

I ordered a set too. Thanks for the info. Does anyone have a source for the 2" rubber roll bar grommets for their bezel kit? Waiting going on 6 months for a reply from Finish Line on an email. Mine are cracked from sun exposure I guess.

Send Mike Everson an email and ask if he'd sell them separately.

Based on this thread and needing the grommets -

Placed my order on the 18th and shipped today on the 30th with a tracking number.

It does say volumes that I was pleasantly surprised with that in comparison to the other vendors on here that would ship prior to me hanging up the phone!

Just thought I'd add one more data point to the discussion. Having read this entire thread, I decided to place an order from ********** for a few trim pieces, bumper grommets, etc. I won't need them for many months, so I didn't really care when they show up. I placed my order last Tuesday night, and they just showed up today - less than a week from order placement to arrival at my door. Not too bad at all IMO. There was very little in the way of communication on order status, but overall I have to say I was quite pleasantly surprised. Just my $0.02.

FYI - I had the same experience recently (i.e. positive). I did notice during the check out process that I had to check a box to receive order/shipping updates. I did and received timely notification on my order and shipment. Not sure it that is the reason for others frustrations, but thought I would share.
