    Vintage Gauges

As I move ever closer to go-kart status, I find more things to pull whats left of my hair, out. This time its the vintage gauges - in particular, the fuel gauge. I put a couple of gallons in the tank and proceeded to calibrate the gauge. Powered, I held the button 10 - 12 secs and entered calibration mode. It started at 1/8 and I tried to set it as such by holding the button for 2 secs. The gauge then did another sweep and settled on 3/4 full. Powered off then on and it still registered at 3/4. Went through the method 4 times, with the same result.
    Any ideas?

In calibration mode, press the set button until the gauge reads 7/8. Then, press and hold the button to set the gauge with that value. That should correlate to the Ford sending unit.

I'll give that a try later this afternoon.
    Thanks.

I believe the sending unit operates from ~16 - 158 Ohms. The gauge calibrations map to each 1/8 gauge readings. Just look at which 1/8th point is for the Ohm values I stated. That's the one you want. I believe it is 7/8, but check the calibration instructions to be sure.

    Update: I verified it here:

    7/8 is correct.
