    Question Reccomendation? Transmission supplier

    Hi there,
Has anyone dealt with Silver Sport Transmissions? The Tremec TKO 600 is not a problem. But how about their clutch and flywheel: Advanced Friction?
SST has an extended 3 year warranty and they say they leak check each tranny and cut off the unused support on the bottom. If not SST, who would you reccomend for the best price/service?
    I appreciat any suggestions.
    Jeff

From what I hear, Mike Forte would be a good choice.
Two of my friends have purchased transmissions from him and have been very pleased.

Another satisfied Forte customer here. Outstanding tech support; he'll answer his phone pretty much any time you need him. And I LOVE listening to his Boston accent - takes me back to my earliest days in the AF.

Bob Hanlon, aka HanlonMotorsports.com , built my TKO600 with tail shaft mod and a mid shift. I thought that T5's were smooth, but this is by far the easiest manual trans I have ever had.

EDIT: Pricing will be within a few dollars no matter where you go, due to tremec's protection plan.

I used Forte for my TKO600, Moser rear end, clutch kit, and bell housing. Mike’s got tons of knowledge which he freely shares. I’ve called several times.

Make sure when you order a bell housing that it matches your fly wheel.....

I used silver sport for a bellhousing. Price was actually cheaper on ebay than their own website. I called them and he assured me it was the same people and to just order through ebay. Called back a few minutes later and they had the order and would ship it out later that day. Very helpful and easy to work with, but I was only getting a bellhousing.
