I am replacing the stock intake manifold on my 91 5.0 L engine with a 93 Cobra intake. The stock setup has a coolant line from the heater tube through the EGR spacer to the lower manifold. The 93 does not have EGR cooling. The coolant temperature sensor is located in the heater tube. Can I eliminate this line or do I need to run a hose directly from the tube to the manifold for the sensor to work properly? I am running a 2002 vintage FFR heater with a vacuum controlled on/off switch so there won’t be coolant flow through the tube unless the heat is on.

Thanks
