Here is a video of the Type 65 running. This engine came from performance unlimited and the carbs have not been tuned or synchronized.

If anyone is interested in looking at the engine build sheet please send me your email and I will send it to you.

Wow, this seems like a heck of a deal. Sure looks nice to me and after buying a lot of these parts myself, I know there is great value here for someone. Not sure of your situation, but it seems like it would make sense financially to have the kit finished and then sell it. I would think you could pay someone to finish it off and then sell it for a good bit more but maybe that just does not work at this time for you. I hope you enjoyed the build and have something else fun on the horizon.

Is this car really still available?

Yes it is for sale. There have been a number of inquiries but no takers at this point.

I have had a number of people privately e-mail me asking if I would sell for your $25,000 or lower. Although I respect the concept of a free market, I wanted to let people know not to waste their time. I am currently building an Vans RV10 experimental aircraft which is taking up all of my time. The Coupe is for sale because I have lost interest, not because I need the money. I will entertain offers in the range of $35,000 which is less than 1/2 of cost to build this Coupe. Thank you for your consideration.
Regards,
Jay

I think getting your car at your asking price is an absolute steal! If I had the money, and my wife wouldn't kill me, I would be at your place with a trailer in a minute!
I am sorry that you have to sell it, but someone is going to get a terrific car at an amazing price!!
Good luck with the sale; frankly, I am shocked that someone hasn't snatched it up already!
And good luck with your aircraft build! I know this is a Factory Five forum, but I would love to see pictures of your project.
All the best!

Steve

I feel the same way. I'm almost done with mine but would love to snatch it up. The wife part is the biggest scare! LOL
Somebody buy this already so I can stop thinking about it.

This Coupe is sold pending funds....
Thank you everyone for your support. I’m now officially down to one FFR (33 Hot Rod) and my Vans RV10 project.

Glad this is sold. My son has been trying to convince me the coupe is a better option than the roadster and cost is one of the reasons I give him for sticking with our roadster plans. This is/was one heck of a deal!

UPDATE: THE COUPE IS BACK IN THE MARKET.
The previous buyer unceremoniously backed out.
If you have any questions, please let me know.

What would be involved in getting it into US? Could someone just load it into a trailer and drive it back across the border?
-
I’m getting a lot of questions on the paperwork. It has been started. I have the Manufacturers Certificate of Origin and the VIN number. It is registered as a Factory Five 1965 Replica.

I may have missed this, but is it Gen 2, or Gen 3? Thanks.

Serious question, anyone have any suggestions on transporting something like this to the US? It would be a 5000 mile, 75 hour round trip drive to the southeast where i live which just wouldn't be practical. Not having an active passport doesn't help either. I sure would be interested, just have no idea how I would get it. Anyone ever brought an incomplete kit over from Canada before?

Contact a car shipping company. Cost me about $1,600 to ship East to West coast.
Good luck,
