SOLD - 16' Serpent Express Enclosed Trailer with Winch and Race Ramps - $4,750 obo

This is a custom Serpent Express retro-fit kit that was made for my steel open trailer. The entire trailer was completely refurbished in 2015 when the Serpent Express enclosure was added. As part of the rework, the trailer was cleaned, primed, and repainted in gloss black then completely rewired with all new materials and converted to LED lighting (running, brake, back-up, and interior on floor and ceiling). I also added all new hubs, bearings, brake system (with electric safety), 2 5/16" tongue, safety chains, Lund aluminum locking tongue box, and a winch with Optima deep-cycle battery. The brake safety, battery, interior light switch, and electric system circuit breaker box are all located in the tongue box. The interior floor was finished with marine-grade plywood down the center (between the diamond plate runners) and includes LED floor lighting and the entire floor is covered with grippy bedliner. Suspension is leaf-spring.

The roof structure has the optional double bracing and the cover is in excellent condition, as the trailer is always stored inside my shop and has been used very rarely over the past few years.

Load height is fairly low, but to make it easier I will include a set of extra-long Race Ramps.

Tires are in great shape, but are around 5 - 6 years old, although showing no wear or cracking. Wheels are aluminum with a matching spare.

Also included is a load-leveling hitch system to distribute tongue weight appropriately.

This is a great trailer that was sized for my wife's '67 Camaro, so works awesome for Cobras, early Camaros & Mustangs, as well as other small to mid-size cars.

These don't come up very often, so now's your chance to get one that is nearly new and just a bit bigger than the typical Serpent Express!

Asking $4,750 obo - pick-up in Sugar Grove, IL.... about 1 hour west of Chicago

Ballpark weight is 1400 - 1600 lbs. I tow it behind a '15 4Runner with a 5,000 limit and have been fine pulling it with the Camaro inside.

I'll get some measurements for everyone this evening - height at tallest point, total length (which I think is around 19' 6"), overall width, etc. Thanks all for your interest so far.
