Need L&R rear brake calipers for 11.65" solid rear axle.

FFR has lost their supplier for the rear 11.65" calipers and are in the process of getting a new one and other stuff lined up. Bottom line is I have a possible 2 month or more wait on rear calipers. Does anyone have a pair they did not use when they built their kit? If so please PM me with price and I will be very happy to buy them from you. Thanks, TW

    Tom,
The rear calipers are off the shelf items for a '99-'04 Mustang Cobra. Napa, Autozone, etc. can set you up.

I bought these for $144 for a recent project and loved the customer support I got from Power Stop.

Guys they are not Cobra calipers. They are 87-88 t-bird calipers as per Jay at FFR.

Good news is AutoZone had correct 88 T-Bird Turbo Coupe rear calipers and they cost me $115.00 less! God is good!

Interesting... The turbo Coupe rear rotors are 10", not 11.65" so I guess there is some mix & match "Frankensteining" of parts going on.

Could these Franken Brakes be similar to the Ford Explorer that use the Top-Hat Rotor with the internal shoe/drum style parking brake?

That set up (Ford Explorer) have rotors that are a bit bigger (11.21") which is what I've got on my Franken-Fritter Dark Side MK-4.

Parking brake cables are Way, Way, Way easier to route with this package compared to the Mustang bits.

The Explorer rear brakes use a SOLID rotor design like the Base & GT model Mustangs.

Could This Be A Viable Replacement Option?

The rotors are from a Saturn Vue of all things. Jay explained everything to me. I can make it all work.

Saturn Vue; Now We Are Talking Extreme Stopping Performance For Sure!
......I now feel a lot better about my odd-ball Mustang Front/Explorer Rear disk brake combo.
