    Roadster Body Removal

Finally pulling the body off the roadster tonight, looks like I am going to have only one helper. The body buck is built and waiting. Is it easy enough with only two people to remove the body. Any tips to make it easier. Thanks.

My wife and I have removed and installed the body on our car multiple times. There is a video of the process on FFR's site.

To avoid too much flex in the body, make a brace to span across the cockpit from the cowl to the back edge. It sould allow a couple of inches of flex, not that crazy amount they show in the video. Also, an extra set of hands to pull the sides away from the frame is helpful but not 100% necessary. Just be aware you will need to roll the body to one side or the other to get it to clear the frame.

Thanks Papa, very helpful. I'm sure I have watched all of the FFR videos in the past, forgot about that one.

Don't forget to ensure ALL the hardware holding the body on is removed. The first time I tried to pull the body off, I didn't catch the two small screws in the front turn signal mounting holes and couldn't figure out what the front was hanging up on.

the key is to use the back brace in the cockpit, I left about 1 inch gap in mine. I can lift the body on and off by myself with the help of 4 ropes. it is not hard at all.
