Did a search to find a thread dealing with this but didn't come up with anything. Seems likely someone has dealt with this already but darned if I can find it.

The instructions on the FFR web site for installing and routing the rear exhaust are outdated. The manual has a section for the rear exhaust option which seems more up to date but following it has its problems.
The manual suggests routing it just above the center section like this

However, clearance to accomplish this is next to none.

In addition, the instructions suggest cutting two holes off the top of the hanger strap but the strap barely reaches the cross bar as is never mind after cutting it. Seems like something is just wrong.

I've noticed at least 1 other person moving the loop over the rear end outboard like this:

Clearly I'd have to redo the brake lines (not happy about that) but this routing sure gives much better clearances:

Is that what everyone is doing now or am I missing something?

Thanks for the help
