    Killing Spree in Sheboygan, WI

    AP Newswire - 06/01/2019

In the usually peaceful community of Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin there has been
great turmoil recently as Summer arrived. Insect Rights Activists have chimed
in following a DNR and EPA report of diminished insect counts along many
    back roads around Sheboygan County.

The DNR has shown that wherever a certain '33 Street Rod is driven, there is
an immediate reduction in the number of flying insects. Forensic Insect
Pathologist Ralph "Creepie" Crawler said in a report released to the public over
Memorial Day Weekend that he has found significant scientific evidence of the
    FFR '33 Ford's killing spree.

While crowds of protesters surrounded his garage singing anti-bug-killing songs
our AP Newswire reporter, Slap Skeeter, was able to interview the car's owner.
Tom "Terminal Velocity" Veale said there were no malicious maneuvers used
while piloting his '33 two tone Ford street rod on a 100 mile journey recently.
Instead he claims to be innocent of any and all wrongdoings.

Mr. Veale's claim is that there is a strange psychological manifestation occurring
within the insect community where they become despondent, and therefore
suicidal. He claims that these deaths have occurred not because of some plan of
his own, but that the mass psychosis is leading to tragic reduction in the bug populations.

We were able to obtain these spy photos showing the evidence of a blood bath.
Remember this wholesale slaughter took place in just 100 miles and that by Mr.
Veale's own confession, he's driven this machine nearly 12,000 miles already.

Please, keep small children protected from these graphic images!
They are very disturbing; viewer’s discretion is advised.......................

With a bug count like that I'd have assumed you were down here in South East Louisiana.
Bring that 33 down and come kill some of our Skeeters please!

Hi Jim, Maybe with a strong westerly wind we can send some of the surplus population across the lake to your neighborhood!

Hi GDG, This time of year in WI we can rival almost any place in the country for bugs per square mile. As I continue to thin the surplus population I'll start heading your way. Have some Windex ready when I arrive....

Looks like you need a tear away windshield, like the googles used in endurance motorcycle races.

Ha. I drove 160 miles yesterday and not a single bug splat on the windshield. In the AZ desert, mosquitos were banned many decades ago.

In ohio the state patrol can issue a speeding ticket based upon the smear length of the bugs on your windshield!

In aviation we used Pledge furniture polish -- does a good job of removing those bugs, even off polycarbonate windows

Thanks, good idea. I'll give it a try. I do wax the glass with NuFinish which seems to help to keep them from sticking too tightly.
I find gas refill and windscreen cleaning needs are just about timed the same.......

I'm going to date myself here... drove cross country in the early 90's. was in south Dakota around dusk (somewhere near Wall drug) I had a lot of cassette tapes recorded from vinyl and I commented to my co driver that there was a lot of static popping on the tape we were listening to at the time.

Ya next morning we get out to the car and the front of it looked like that Texas plate. the static popping wasn't the tape it was the bugs.

Man I miss that '87 ford super coupe.

    Hi Chris,
It's a good thing the ASPCB (american society for the prevention of cruelty to BUGs) didn't hear about that, you'd still be locked up!

8 tracks are the only way to go Chris....(just have an old match book handyto keep the speed consistent) or 4 tracks if you have a player. I do have an old Muntz 4 track player... talk about dating lol

Naz I’ve never heard of pledge...but it makes sense. I always used Meguiar’s plastic polish when I flew in the 70’s and when I worked at Beechcraft for a couple of years as a line service guy. Ahhh those were the days...bucket of jet-A on the ramp after it rained on our Clark tugs refitted with straight 6 fords and c-4’s.... zoom in, yank the e brake and spin like a top!!!
To be young and stupid again LOL!!!

My first tape player was a 4 track, I installed in my 66 Mustang GT Fastback. I bought the car used, but it had been a gift to Bubba Smith when he signed with Baltimore. Man I wish I had that car back!! Now I'm dated. Oh! We use a lot of Pam cooking spray for the bugs.

Hi HVAC, Re: Bubba Smith's Mustang...............

I sold my '69 351 Mustang Notchback to Dante "Glue Fingers" Lavelli of Cleveland Browns and Ohio State University fame.
He bought it for his son who was going off to college. Nice man. This was around 1973 or '74.
