    Tremec Tail boss

Putting the Tremec TKO Transmission into a Factory Five requires the tail boss to be cut off in order for the rear of the transmission to clear the cross-member.

Forte's machines this tailshaft off for you for FREE and we check the metal in the case for porosity so that you don't have and fluid leaking out of the cut.

Not only is this convenient but we do this for free when you order a Tremec transmission from us and need it cut off.

Just call us when you're ready with questions or ready to buy your new TKO Transmission...

Mike, I realize that tail boss requires to be cut,,,,but would this not impact the warranty on the tranny? Anyone have any issues with this?

I don't see any reason why that trim of the rear mount would affect the warranty. It's only case material. There's no penetration to the inside of the trans or any effect to its operation.

Had to make this cut to fit into the Superformance cars too. It's just casting web.

Never seen or heard about a problem with the trans or Tremec. Cut mine in '04.

    Jim
