    Crate full of 435 horses...

Hopefully sometime today a big crate full of 435 horses should show up. Now I just have to figure out how to fit them all in here...

Thanks everyone for helping me get here!

    Two quick questions:

    1. Install engine with power steering and A/C compressor in or out? I was going to go with in because it seems like it'd be easier to mount them outside of the car, but wondering if that may make it harder to slide it in there.
    2. Transmission mount orientation for T56— curved flange facing frontward or rearward, up-down? Also I think I may have read that the T56 likes to have the mount mounted underneath the frame tabs vs. on top? @edwardb, it looks like you have it mounted under frame tabs with curved flange facing rear and upwards? Is that right?

    1. I assume you're talking about the KRC power steering setup. No problem with either. They clear when dropping the engine in. I left the starter motor off, and added once the engine was in. Not hard. Some have said it too can be already mounted. But I don't know that personally. On the other side, the alternator can also be mounted. But be warned, you won't get the headers in/out with the alternator in place. So I'd recommend leaving it off at first. One other hint. Take the steering column completely out for the engine installation. I thought I could swing it out of the way for the install (same as with a Roadster) but the Gen 3 Coupe frame prevents it from getting far enough out of the way. Don't do what I did, which was remove the steering column with the engine/trans halfway installed.

    2. The picture below shows how I did mine with the Coyote/T-56. Easy to see since this was taken during mockup before it was powder coated. I didn't find any choice but to put the mount on the bottom. Otherwise the shifter hit the underside of the trans tunnel. Talked with another builder also installing the T-56 in his Coupe, and had to do the same thing to clear the shifter. With IRS the pinion angle worked out well at that location.

Compressor and PS pump are in! Although I had to completely start over from scratch after I realized that there are different sized spacers for the PS pump bracket

Also noted in @edwardb's build diary that I had to shave off 1/4" from a least one of the bolts holding the PS bracket because it was bottoming out in the block.

    Very cool,

Time to take off the alternator and the steering rack, attach the transmission and drop that sucker in there!!

Agree about the steering column. Not the steering rack. The Coyote will go into the Gen 3 Coupe with the alternator on. Been there done that. But does have to come off to install the headers, as I mentioned. So agree probably easier just to start without it there.
