    New to FFR

Well, we will receive our 35 pickup this week. This will be our first FFR and first kit ever. We have built several other vehicles over the years with our two sons and this will be another family build. Hopefully, this will be our first FFR build of many more in our future. Not sure why picture is sideways.

Well our truck arrived late last week. Started adding frontend and rear end. Missing driver side rear control arm. Had two passenger sides. Had to make the old C10 earn its keep.

    Zach,

Welcome to the forum! I've upgraded your account to full access.

Here's a link to embedding full sized pictures:

    https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/show...tures-in-posts

And here is how you can update the title of a thread, like a build thread:

    https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/show...tle-Guidelines

Since you've started the process with this thread, let me know if you want it moved to the build threads forum.

Way to go! I'll be following along!

    Welcome to the forum.

Now let's talk about that garage mahal you got going on there.

    1) How can you work in such clean confines?

    2) I have serious garage envy

    3) Do you have enough space for this build? Don't won't crowd out the other projects.

    4) Did I mention that it looks too clean? You'll miss stepping over things lying on the floor, can't find stuff because it's hidden under everything else, think how much of the build experience your missing out of.

    5) Where do you live and can I rent out some space?

    6) Did I mention that I have garage envy yet?

All kidding aside, look forward to seeing this build progress, and waiting for the messy floor shot.

+1 on what Ron said! That's some serious space, you have room for a couple of FFR buddies in there

Enjoy your build and look forward to seeing your progress!

    Ron,

Thanks. Been a life long dream to have this type shop. Now just need some more experience.
There is some transmission fluid residue behind the 35 in one of the pictures. A little.

Thanks Steve. It is really hot and sticky humid here in East Texas. Have room. Have several projects going.

Received bad news today from Paul at FFR. He had a guy quit and did not have any help in shipping. It will be a month before we receive our missing parts like brake lines, just went and purchased at parts store. Missing motor mounts and sleeves for bushings. A month is a little long for a summer project. We wanted to be done with atleast the go cart portion. Not really happy at this point. Anyone know where to get the metal bushing sleeves? Cannot really finish anything, missing a little of everything.

Zach, which bushings are you talking about? The ones that space the shocks? If so you can just order some stock and make them yourself...

    David,

The steel sleeves that go into the bushings for the upper and lower A arms.

That sent me the size but, do not see that I should have to manufacture these myself. Really hoping that they had these readily available.

I figured these were used on most of the kits.

Well we have steering, brake lines, fuel lines, front brakes on the truck, wiring started and cab floor is in place and riveted. We are having firewall powder coated now. Once it gets back we can put it back in and pull the front wiring done. Heard from FFR, they are going to have some help to pull some parts and ship out. I was glad to hear that we were going to get some backordered parts out to us.

35 getting close to go cart

We are getting close to the Go cart stage to test everything. Just need to finish up on cooling system, placed a question over on the Coyote page. Hope everyone had a great New Year's day and ready for 2020.

Then the finish work on the body to be ready for paint.
