Not a FF5 Cobra but thought you might like to see it

Last weekend a bunch of us from our local car club went up to Durango for a yearly get together.
My '33 wasn't finished so I rode in and drove a friends '66 Vette.
This Cobra is polished aluminum, very nice.

All that polished aluminum gives me major anxiety. I would have to buy stock in a company that makes microfiber cloths.

I can appreciate the genuine craftsmanship in producing these bodies....I am sure way better than the originals, but I don't really understand why people polish them like that, other than to somehow display that they are superior to people who have a fibreglass fake. They must be a nightmare to keep looking like that, and in my opinion they just look a bit sh*t........they kinda look like a porn star. However, each to their own and at least it still looks better than a 'vette.

I respect what it took to make that body but I herd from a someone who wrapper their car like that before that the sun glares off of it while driving and it is horrible on your eyes. They said the pulled the wrap off after less then a month because the did not feel safe driving it in the sun. It was a story told as we were all standing around talking about the stupidest stuff we ever did to our cars when we were younger. I think that type of exterior may be a lot more fun to see at a show then to own but I love that someone out there did it.

There is one in the DC area where most of the car is done by scotchbrite but the stripes are full polished. That is my favorite.
