    Shifter Issue

I’m finishing the interior of my roadster after driving it for a couple months. I just laid the carpet and decided I didn’t like how the dash vinyl came out so I’m redoing that also. Today I tried to put on the shifter boot and could not get the lever(on a TKO600) to not hit the chrome ring on the boot no matter how I arranged it. I wondering if anyone else had this problem and how they solved it.
I have thought about notching the shifter, buying a larger boot, or possibly buying a different shift lever. Any thoughts?

The manual suggested dilling another mount hole in the shifter, so it will stand more upright, is that an option?

    Brewha,

Dont notch your shifter. Buy a tunnel top from FFMetal you can cut your own hole to position the shifter within the ring bounds.
