    MAF Adapter?

I'm starting to look at the MAF adapter part of the manual and I noticed instructions for Spectre and Threadstone. Two quick questions:

    1. Should MAF adapter be included in the kit or do I have to get it separately? I purchased the complete kit and the Coyote install kit. They sent me both a red and blue conical air filter (which looks like each would fit the two MAF options?), but it seems weird that they would include air filters, but no MAF adapter.
    2. If it is purchased separately, which one would you choose? I'm leaning Threadstone because it looks like you don't have to modify anything on it.

I've used both. The Spectre and Treadstone Performance. They both work fine, but think I prefer the Treadstone. If for no other reason than the Treadstone has beads on the tubes where they connect. The Spectre parts don't. I had an issue with the Spectre parts coming apart (my one ride of shame) and that wouldn't have happened with the Treadstone.

I ordered a Treadstone adapter 6 weeks ago and I just heard from them that it's still 2+ months left on back-order Needless to say I'm looking for alternatives.

Can you see any reason why this one wouldn't work? https://performancemrp.com/i-3049772...tegory:1389188 I like that it has the airflow straightener mounted and ready.

Wow, that's a long time. Mine was a little slow in coming (several weeks) but nothing like that. Don't know anything about the one you're asking about, but looks decent. The Spectre one is widely available. Have it in my Roadster and works OK. Just added the airflow straightner to it a few weeks ago.

Yeah, I haven't asked, but I suspect they lost a supplier and/or maybe have been effected by the trade-war? Who knows.

I'll give that MRP one a try and let everyone know how it goes. I did consider the Spectre, but I didn't see that they made a 3.5" version— it seemed like you had purchase a 3.5 to 4" adapter to get it to work (or maybe I missed something)? Still worried about space under the hood so I wanted to keep things as simple as possible.

The Spectre connection to the throttle body is also a 3.5 to 4" adapter. Plus the MAF adapter itself is pretty short. So in total it's nearly the same size as the Treadstone setup in my Coupe. Although with the silicone 90 degree tube in the Coupe, you do end up with fewer parts and connections.

The MRP MAF adapter arrived in the mail yesterday and it looks great! I would definitely recommend it as an alternative (perhaps even the preferred).
