Engine mount spacers? Are they needed?

I installed the engine mount washers/spacers per the manual. Are they necessary? I'd prefer to drop the engine a little more if possible. I do seem to have enough clearance for the oil pan compared to the lower frame rails. Thanks!

With the standard set-up once the transaxle is installed, the bottom of the engine oil pan is normally about 3/8" below the bottom of the chassis.....so removing the spacers would leave the oil pan that much lower. If you've changed your transaxle mounting location, maybe yours will be different? Not sure if you'd run into any other problems like clearance issues with the AC compressor or alternator? Of course you would also have to cut off the indexing "pin" that sticks out of the bottom of the engine mounts.

Thanks for the reply Shane. I'll check those other clearances before making any changes.
