818S (rolling chassis stage, 2006 donor) for sale in central MA
If you want a coupe, just add the hardtop kit. Kit delivered in October 2018, and is completed to the rolling chassis stage. Was a father-son project but son has lost interest, and I now have a garage full of antique cars needing restoration that I wasn't expecting for a few more years, so something has to go. Kit options are powder coating, padded dash & interior, carpet, trunk kit, complete CV axles and matte black wheels. Donor is a 2006 WRX with heated leather seats in good condition, completely dissembled with all parts tagged and in storage bins, and all electrical connections also labelled. Engine is stock except for an Exedy FF502 lightweight flywheel. Engine received all new clutch parts (OEM), timing belt, water pump & thermostat, crankshaft and camshaft seals, crankshaft pulley, all timing belt covers, plugs, small cooling hoses, engine and transmission mounts. Includes two special tools required to hold camshaft wheels during removal. No stock FFR shifter, but an MR2 shifter and Zero Decibel bell crank kit are included. Sheetmetal sealed with Sikaflex 252 (better than silicone). Remaining kit parts are labelled and stored in bins or on storage shelves. Nothing lost.
Looking for $10k, the cost of a basic kit but you get the extras and a good donor, and the assembled stage is still early enough for you to finish it to your taste. PM me if you are interested
