This is our second build we still have our mk3 roadster and as mom wanted the set lol we are building the coupe.
We picked up our kit 7/15/19. The inventory is done all we need to do now is get the garage ready lol. We dropped my daughter off to the U.S Navy on 7/23/19 so we haven't spent alot of time in the garage but should be making more progress now that we have more time.
This our build crew. Myself andy ,my son aj, my younger daughter alex, and my dad Bruce. I look forward to another fun build.

Pics aren’t showing up, probably because PhotoBucket made some less than desirable changes to how their service works.
Many folks switched to other photo hosting sites after that. I think even this forum can host a certain amount of photos per user, but someone else could provide more detail to that.
Agreed, pictures aren't showing. Photobucket won't allow linking unless you have one of their paid plans, and they're not cheap. Agree with the suggestion to use the gallery on this forum. The pictures in my Gen 3 Coupe build thread (link below) are 100% stored here on the forum. There is an individual limit to photo file size, so I re-size them before uploading. Other than that, I'm not aware there are any limits. I have a ton linked in my build thread.

hey its been awhile since our last post sorry for the delay. we have been busy in life and working on the car. since dad is retired he gets the major credit for the work done as he has been getting it done. my oldest daughter has joined the Navy and has completed boot camp and A-school. she is awaiting orders after the corona lock down is lifted. I'm going to try and post some build pics if i can get it figured out lol.
Mk3 roadster picked up 4/07 titled 11/07 347 stroker t5z pin drive width independent rear.
Gen3 coupe picked up 7/19 347 stroker 3 link rear pin drive width knockoff wheels a/c heat.
we have a pin drive width car with actual knockoff wheels from american racing wheels. i believe they also sell an adapter for lugged wheels in the cobra wheel section. we did not like the spacer option so we worked with bob at american racing wheels to find the proper back spacing. we have 17x11 in the rear with 3" back spacing and in the front they are 17x9 with 3 3/4" back spacing. the tires are nitto 555 gen 2 in 315/35/r17 in the rear and 245/45/r17 in the front. the wheels, tires, and adapters came to $3800. this set up is for pin drive width only. bob at american racing wheels can help with figuring out your back spacing on regular width builds. hope this helps.

Thankyou!!! Wasn't sure if my FF rims could also be put on using the pins. They cant.
we were able to pick up the rotating assembly today. could not get a kit with stock sized pistons so instead of a 342 it will be a 347 like the roadster.

We are having fun. We really missed the building the roadster so the coupe build is very welcome. My dad has built his own motors for decades so a crate motor was against our religion lol. He always wanted to build an engine on an actual racing block so he splurged for the boss block. The internals will be the same as the roadster 347. The difference will be in the heads (newer tech better flow) and still tossing around using Weber's from englese. Dropped the block off for bore and hone this morning.

we were able to pick up some parts today. afr heads ,cloyes timing chain ,mcloed clutch ,flywheel ,balancer and transmission. the boss 302 block is at the machine shop getting finish bore and honed. hopefully soon we can post some assembly pics.

(1) Just noticed in your front suspension pictures you have the steering rack and front LCA bolts inserted from the front. Strongly recommend turning those around. Put the head of the bolt to the rear and the nut on the front. Once you have the radiator tunnel sheel metal installed, you won't be able to get those bolts out if left how they are is how. They'll hit against the back wall of the tunnel before coming out.
(2) Maybe you know this, but I had those exact AFR heads on my #7750 Roadster DART 347 build. Make sure to put sealant on the rocker arm studs. Don't remember whether it was intake or exhaust, but one of them goes all the way through the head into the intake. It's in the instructions, but (of course...) I missed it and had a significant oil consumption issue until I figured it out. I put sealant on both intake and exhaust. After the fact of course. Oil consumption problem solved. Don't make the same mistake I did.
(3) A little surprised to see that T-5 and the discussion about building a 347. With those heads, and likely the rest of the parts you're using, that T-5 is going to have its work cut out for it. Unless you have aftermarket/upgraded internals.

So we got the block back from the machine shop and mocked up the assembly. Found that it needed to go back and get decked the pistons set .032 down. Meanwhile I took my daughter for a ride in the roadster. Dad and my son cleaned out the garage in preparation for the engine build.

Nice pics, looks like some good family fun. Any chance you could get a measurement from the block china wall to the hood? Waiting on my kit and wanting to figure my intake options.
