Finally go karted and probably dumb question.

Got to do a short go kart today, wow this is going to be fun! Ok now the question, is it feasible or advisable to install the wiper wheel boxes prior to putting on the body. I've had the body on once for a test fit and am about to put it on again, hopefully till after it's titled and been on the road awhile. Just seems like it would be easier and less mess in the engine compartment to get the holes drilled now.

I wouldn't recommend it. Best to have the windshield installed to confirm the exact right location to drill, and can't install the windshield without the body installed. The wiper system is right under the back edge of the hood opening. Not hard at all to install with the body on. Don't sweat a little bit of fiberglass dust in your engine compartment. Vacuums right up. Will see way more than that down the road.

    BTW, congrats on your go-kart.
