New build, everything ordered; contemplating the paint job
Hi folks, new guy here, just got everything ordered contemplating paint scheme. My build: full dress truck kit, with wile woods and new rear end
Blueprint 346 with manual trans, Wheesmith 18" spokes.
I'm shooting for daily driver with a classic "old money" look
My current thought is deep green body and wheels with black fenders; I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions

my Emerald Jewell truck is green
hope yours is easier to paint than how my green laid down
I am taking a vacation from work on the truck for a couple months
best wishes on your build
need some bigger wheels to get over the brakes
I also am going 302 ith AOD got a 347 on the shelf

Thanks for looking Houdini,
I will update profile in a couple of days (as soon as I get my web site fixed). My auto building hobby began, as a kid, in the mid 1950's when my next door neighbor, Jack Zink (please google) was building race cars; he was quite successful, winning Indy in'55 and '56 and Monza in '57.
I just secured by build space today!
A large warehouse with high ceiling and plenty of floor space, 120 - 240 elect. and compressed air., and full welding capability next door. We intend to create a paint booth on site.
Question: Any suggestions for special tools or equipment that would speed up the process or ease work on some of the hard to get to areas - what kind of lift/elevator would make my life easier without killing my freshly emptied checkbook.

well a die grinder with some kind of a hogging bit to clean out the seams on the cab and suitable equipment to smooth them when filled will be needed
being the car is light a aluminum HF floor jack will easily lift it, use care on putting rear end in mine spun and lug bit my hand

Trying to finalize my wheel order - 18' Wheelsmith wires, (6005 green). I've ordered Wilewood brakes; do the wheel guys need to spec them any different than the one on the blue cover model?

just discovered my ideal green today - mixed green pearl powder into alwgrip clear applied to black under coat - Magic!
plan to use about half as much pearl on fenders as body for two tone effect. Will start my build thread in a couple of days with pictures
