    Aerodynamic charts and graphics

Are there any GTM Gen 1 and 2 aero charting or graphic representation that show the air movement around the body? Getting ready to do restorative bodywork on #172 and may want to add some useful touches to the shape.

Also have seen in numerous threads that the side scoops behind the doors are not very good for engine air intake. Documentation on this effect would be great also.

    Thanks.

If there aren’t documents out there, you can set up a poor man’s wind tunnel with a fog machine and a shop fan. It may not be the precision engineering you’re looking for, but it can at least tell you where substantial obstructions to flow are.

If I was in your position I would start with something like what is outlined in the following article. This may not be the best example of this technical, but just floating the idea out there so you can research more.

Thanks Shoeless. It looks like that is what I’ll have to do but thought it would be nice if FFR or someone else had already done it.

That is a MASSIVE wind tunnel!! I really do wish they actually ran it, but I’m betting that’s just a great photo shoot.
