My shoulder harnesses are fine but the lap straps are way too long. Has anyone shortened harness straps? Thanks!

Looks like you should be able to just cut off the excess and melt the ends so they don't fray out?

I trimmed ours and used a heat gun to melt the cut ends so they wouldn’t fray.

I'm not getting gray, I'm adding chrome....
“Under-steer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car and over-steer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall and torque is how far you take the wall with you.”

"If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough horsepower."--Mark Donohue
Yep sure did. I have those cipher belts and they were way to long. Melted the end after cutting and got my mom involved in the build sewing a nice fold on the end.

This is what I did
Cut to length, melt edges with a lighter and with wet fingers roll the corner inward
Using two pieces of a flat material in my case flat aluminum I folded the end about 3/16 and then squeeze it between the flat metal using vise-grip pliers
A second fold was created and squeezed again until I had the look I wanted.
After getting the fold right open the last fold and apply a thin line of superglue gel and fold and squeeze until dry
No stitches required
