Trimming Upper Control Arms - still recommended?

I am working on front suspension this weekend and wanted to confirm that it is still best practice to trim about 1/8" off the rear upper adjustment sleeve on the front suspension, and also cut some off each threaded ends as well?

I am running power steering and my understanding is that this allows you to achieve desired alignment more easily.

    Thanks,
    Jason

My kit was delivered Jan 2017 and I had to trim the rear sleeve on the PS (only). I have power steering too.

Yep, might as well. It's easier now than taking them apart later. The three I have helped with were limited to about +6.5 deg caster. That's OK but IMHO, minimal. I like 7.5-8.0. Also w/ normal production variation in the frame you usually max out one side, could get 1/2 deg more on the other side, but have to stop so both sides are the same.

Here's some pic's of mine if it helps. I cut those on a band saw. The one that is on the spindle knuckle I used a cordless cut-off saw.
