TKO 600 hook up question
I recently installed a new TKO 600 to replace my old 500. I have a wire that I’m not sure how to connect. Attached is the wire and the location on the transmission of where it goes. Do I need a different piece in the transmission or a different connector? I believe it’s the back up light switch.

Hi Steve,
I guess I just replace this with the connector I currently have and good to go?

I tried to make something fit with no luck and ended up getting the pig tail shown above by Steve. It works.

Yup, just cut the current connector off. Polarity on the switch doesn't matter, there is no polarity for the TKO connector
BTW, if you haven't seen it, here's a diagram of the different TKO connections. Electric speedo connection is on the passenger side

Thanks for posting this. Maybe this is something I missed. Is the backup light circuit already integrated into the RF harness? Didn't realize it might be as easy as simply adding this connector.

No, there's no backup light wiring in the RF harness. It's easy to add though. Pull a wire from an ignition switched circuit. On my Coupe, I used the radio wire since I don't have a radio. But others would work too. Especially if you use an LED then the current draw is very low. Go through the rear harness and in/out of the TKO switch. Ground the light at the back. When the transmission is in reverse, the switch is closed powering the backup light(s).
