    Bigger tanks

all right I'm researching more on this type 65, the fuel tank capacity of somewhat small at 15 gallons. I don't think that capacities is a port how far I want to drive without constantly stopping by a drinking hole and every hour. I know it's an exaggeration but anyhow... I saw that one of the sponsors here has a 22 gallon tank so my question is are there any other manufacturers out there to have a bolt in higher capacity fuel tank? Or is it I'm just have to go custom?

Fuelsafe has a 22 gallon cell. If you have anything close to a reasonable engine you will get at least 15mpg cruising. At 14.6 gallons that makes around 250 miles. By that time you are ready for a leg stretch.

I have done a 32 for an endurance race car but it takes up the entire back of the car leaving little to no room for anything else.

Boyd welding makes tanks for Factory Fives. Here are tanks for the Roadster which are direct fit for the Type 65 as they both use the same Mustang tank. Give them a call if you need it for an injected engine as I remember them making them before.
