Body Prep by Amateur
Finished installing the splash guards yesterday, put the wheels back on (without fitting the spinners) and drove it up the street. The neighbors came out!
Still have to do headlights/turn signal front lights; windshield; and doors.
I did all the body prep using a lot of FFR gelcoat paste and some epoxy gel. I was intending to finish with FFR gelcoat, but decided not to go to that trouble of cleaning out the spray equipment multiple times, so I got a local body shop to do the final spay painting ($800). All to FFR red matched paint. I fitted the 2 body parts after painting. Did minimal damage to the paint, which can be easily touched up when I'm totally finished
Not a fantastic job. But I'm satisfied.
Note: doing all the body prep is not something to be lightly considered. It takes a lot of time and perseverance. Learned a lot and next time I will be quicker (if I ever do it again).

You are all very kind. Up close one can see it is not that good! Although, my eyes see much more than they did before I started this task.
Here are a few photos to illustrate what has to be done.
And I will post pics of completed car when I'm done.
