    Fabrication of 6R80 Transmission Mount

Fabricated this mount today, based off some inspiration from this forum and ideas from some well manufactured pieces. Wanted to use as much of what has been sent in the kit and designed on the chassis.
Picked up the correct length bolts this evening, so tomorrow I’ll break it down again, weld some other areas, smooth it out, clean it and coat it with some chassis black.

Welded in a gusset to reinforce for what was cut out. Ran a few more small welds on the mount. Sanded, cleaned, sprayed some 2in1 primer, coated with engine black and bolted it up!

*pictures got turned and loaded more than once, I’ll set them up in photo gallery once I’m able to.

Here is an option to consider. I am using subframe and suspension from Total Control Products. They have a rear transmission mount that works with the 6R80, I know as I am using it and it fits fine.

The urethane mount that they sell looks a lot like the Energy Suspension mount shown in this thread.

I am sure that for the Factory Five application, some mods are required, but looks like these components might provide a head start.
