Saw it last night, Opening Night. Fantastic Movie! Really loved it with enough Cobra & GT40 content (even though the Daytona Coupes were static display props), cool race shop, testing and racing action footage. Despite the omissions and error of facts it's Hollywood and will be enjoyed by a wider audience. Only a 4 hour movie or long miniseries could things really be fleshed out.

Saw it last night with car buddy who is a chevy guy who had little knowledge of the Cobra history. He loved the movie. It was entertaining, but to me who is extremely knowledgeable of the Shelby history, I found myself aways looking at all the wrong stuff. Sorta ruined it for me. But if you overlook that it is a fun movie.

Good movie I took my wife and 8 year old son, it was a little much for him but he will remember that for life. It was a long but great movie, tear-jerker at some points. I came out thinking about Ken Miles and since then I've seen the "24 Hour War".

Before watching the movie I was referred to a You Tube Video of Carroll Shelby called "the lost interview", It was done when he began building his own sports car with Oldsmobile power. It is quite different from the story line of the movie that he greatly valued Lee Iacocca and Bebe as his allies. The video is well worth time of about an hour to watch. I also have a book called Kar Kraft that is the story of their input to building GT40's, they were the contractors that built the Boss 429 Mustang, I treasure that book! Holman Moody was also a big supplier, my father was a Ford dealer then and we let the Ford drag race teams use our shop when NHRA division races were in our town. I watched as one of the teams were running SOHC 427's in the first funny cars without a blower on Nitro, on Saturday they lost a no. 6 screw and found it after it started! Monday morning there a short block arrived at 8:00 am from Holman Moody, O-rings, 12:1 pistons just the same as in the car. Budgets for racing back then were unlimited!
