    Finally GTM #159 gets CA license plate

    Hi All,

    just want share, I finally got my SB100 and License plate, have a personal but will be few months, Still lots of stuff to do and finish but at least pass registration.https://thefactoryfiveforum.com/imag...es/biggrin.png

    The interior roof is not finished and glave area but for most part there.

    Have put about 100 miles on the car, I actually drove it back and forth twice to referee, first expression LOUD, gets Hot, every one once to take look and glad I have power steering, will get some driving to get use to this and trust the car.

    Added some dash picture. all hardware and all the controls and all the sensors inputs were designed by myself, picture really does not show all the stuff that is there and how it works, I will get a friend and get some video but a bit at a time.

    Thanks for all the help it has been a long but quick 10 years.

    Just saw you are monitoring tire pressures AND TEMPS? How are you doing that?

    Infrared sensors would be my guess. We have thought about it but to do it properly for racing conditions we would need three sensors on each tire. A lack of data channels and the expense of the sensors limits us to not doing this. We likely will put pressure sensors on in the near future as we can tell almost as much via the pressures. It won't help with setup, but we will be able to tell when we are over working a tire or tires.

    Just like OEM do, Radio Freq. for now for ease of use I have the cap sensor type transmitters but could be inside tire as well, but I like the external ones easier to replace.TPMS.PNGTPMS_01.PNG

    You have two fuel tanks? How are you reading them? That is not OBD2 data;

    Welcome to forum.

    There are hardware that reads each sender, measure resistance, scales it and then sends it to main computer, the dash allows manual selection of the tank and if pressure drops below 30 ( can be any PSI) then will change to the other tank automatically.
    Also the dash will dimm out a bit for the not selected tank but still bright enough so one can see the fuel level.

    Aslo few pictures of the car.IMG_8009.jpg

    add some more, not sure why it was not working last night

    Thanks for Welcome;

    I am still confused; It appears you are reading fuel tanks, TPS and OBD data on your dash at same time? Also, you have two displays, what does second display do?

    Sorry for all questions, I am trying to plan for my build, finding it hard to find parts for this; or if I have budget...

    For GTM analog gauges will be part of the kit not sure about the other kits, but LCD gauges and all the other info build into them gets a bit more complicated, some very expensive, mind was under $400 for each display.

    Hopefully I will find some time and get some video as what thing do. My Hardware a bit more complicated for me to explain right now but hopefully sometime soon I will get to that parts.

    Hey Mostafa,

    Where did you source the steering wheel lighted buttons from? Those are sharp and I’m starting to kick around my steering wheel button plate ideas and would like to take a look at those.

    Thanks,
    Sean

    Thanks Much.
    it is crazy as how much more work there is to just make all the hardware and display to work.
    Today I finally got clutch interlock in place, could not find a nice place for the switch. also got the Hatch popper in, not sure what people do here mine does not pop up much, needs a handle!, will have to figure something out. but next week, being hospitalized tomorrow for few day or more, hope to make it out.
