    Silicone substitute

    Hi All,
Has anybody used something else than silicone between alu panels and chassis or other alu panel? Like a small one-side sticking neoprene tape.
Asking this because I’m wondering what would happen if for any reason one would have to « unrivet » a panel and then deal with the sticky part due to cured silicone.
Sorry if this was discussed before but search engine was of no help.

They will come apart OK if you take your time. Use the GE silicone as FFR recommends. It really is a major part of the panel rigidness.
