    818C cockpit aluminum

    Why does the front lower drivers side cockpit panels leave a big opening in front of the dead pedal foot rest that doesn’t show in the manual?

    That opening is for the radiator tubes. This shows up in the manual on p.171:

    There should be another small piece of aluminum that covers that hole. My kit was the same. It is to provide clearance for the radiator piping.

    That looks like the same sheet metal parts I have. I thought the latest manual had updated those parts but I guess not (it's probably never been updated). I found this old pic that kind of shows the part you need.

The book shows the aluminum control arm.....
