What Tranny Oil do you use for G50-20 6 speed

Some older post say Use any GL-5, some say use Swepco 201 or 210, some say GL-4 Driven Race is good, so not sure what is best for this tranny.

Just curious as what other have used.

    Thanks,
    Mostafa

We've been using Redline 75W90ns in most of the Porsche transaxles here.

    Shane,

I check on redline these is this note, any truth in that, so confusing.

    75W90 GL-5 GEAR OIL
This product is not designed for use in most manual transmissions or transaxles in passenger vehicles, since the extreme slipperiness may cause synchronizer mesh issues that lead to shifting problems.

Going to call GBOX if they are still around and see what they say since they build my tranny almost 10 years ago.

    Thanks,
    Mostafa

I believe that is where the "ns" comes in on the redline product. The NS version has additives that make it work well with the syncros.
