    Getting back into my build

    Hey guys,

Been about 4 years since I have done anything on my kit and today I started stripping the donor car with my boys.

Three house moves and other projects meant my 818C had to go on the shelf for a bit.

Can anyone point me to the latest PDF build manual? I have my paper back but wondered if any updates or revisions have come out?

Also, can anyone link me to the best build threads so I can study up on my homework please 😊😊😊

My kit is RHD since I live in New Zealand.

    Cheers all!

    Scottie.

Not much is new in the manual, basically you're on your own to figure it out IMO

I wouldn't call mine the best, but I've tried to make my website easy to go through as a whole which many build threads are not. The link is in my signature. I've also compiled some various things I've found useful and put them into an advice page that hopefully provides some helpful tips.

A few notable forum threads that are useful:

    • AZPete's Build Thread- he did his after-the-fact and summarized his improvements. This makes his thread really easy to read and he is one of the few to do several posts on 818C specific items.
    • Wayne Presley/VCP if you do a forum search has a few mod/tip thread regarding the coolant system, some door body mounting, and other items that are useful.
    • Hindsight has a write-up on installing a limited slip diff. Must-read if you plan to do the same.
    • Many many others I can't think of off the top of my head. I recommend getting really good with using the forum search tools to find things as they come up.

Good luck on your build restart!
