Shock recommendations for MK lll 2006

    Hey Gang,
I have a 2006 MK lll non-irs rear with the Bilstein A274's on the rears and A273's on the front - any recommendations for replacements? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I'm not getting gray, I'm adding chrome....

What for? Makes a big difference. For a fun street car, the non-adjustable Koni's from FFR are a great bang for the buck. But if you race the car, Spend the big bux for a set of double adjustable shocks with Koni springs.

    Your choices are:

---Have the A273 Bilsteins rebuilt for $35 (the A274s on a solid axle do not need to be done)
    ---SA Konis from FFR
---DA Konis from FFR or Gordon
    ---DA QA1s from Breeze

As Bob said it kind of depends on what you want to do with the car---I have 2 cars I've built for customers racking up lots of street cruiser miles on the retrofitted Bilsteins.

GREAT FEEDBACK! My bad not clarifying - I don't race it and I'd rather have nice 'street-able' ride - the roads here in California REALLY suck and I'm running 17' Halibrands with Nitto 555 G'2s Jeff Kleiner - thanks for the list - It really helps with my decision!
