    body ??

while im waiting on coupe i have been planning the hows and when on mine ,one thing that is bothering me is how bad is the body ?
i have seen few youtube vid where guy is talking and show how bad the gen 3 panels were saying things not lined up well
i hope thats not typical? how many here did own body work and what did you think of body?

here is what i think my process will be
1 remove body install front spindles and brakes ,rear axle
2 test fit and drill all sheet metal panels for firewall and floor ,send to powder coaters for expoxy powder
3 install fuel tank ,run lines
4 hang pedals and run brake lines
5 install panels back from powder coater
does this seem like logical process based on what you have done?

Sounds like a good plan. Build your go cart then get into the body . Read your manual that will be a good starting point.

mine was a very early Gen 3 #16 and other than the part by the back of the quarter windows it was good. The body work was filling the part lines and lining up the doors and hood plus cleaning up the door hinge cut outs etc.
Mine was painted body on to make the fit up after paint easier.

For the 33 hot rod, the current thinking is that doing the body work relatively early in the build is the way to go. You do need to do some basic mechanical first like mount the radiator/grill in order to fit the body but no where near go cart stage. Has that approach been socialized for the coupe or are there reasons it won't work on this kit?
