    Delivery Times

Are there any recent purchasers of the 35 truck out there that could share what type of lead times one can expect. More specifically, what kind of lead times are you experiencing from order to delivery. Also, how complete are the kits arriving and how extensive are the POL list looking.

Also, following builds and talking with some builders I hear them modifying the cage to increase cabin room and seat position. And, as the vehicle is the first gen truck, do some suggest waiting for a new and improved frame? Just wondering.

    Thanks.

I ordered mine last spring. Only took them about four weeks to get ready to ship. I had issues with getting it delivered. Stewart Transportation's truck broke down and the only other one they had was out doing deliveries. Had to wait another four weeks for them to get to it. Think they have built more trucks sense then.

Back orders were minimal. Only issue I really had was it took almost three months for the rear calipers. They had some kind of supply issue and were trying to find another source. Think that has been solved.

As far as the cage goes, the older ones had some bracing in the back that kept you from being able to push the seat all the way back. They have changed the design and do not have those braces anymore. You can push the seat all the way back against the body now.

Thanks for the quick feedback. Do you have one of the newer cages without the braces, and are there other revisions from the original of which you are award.

Mine dose not have the braces. (Ive got mine all hacked up anyway cause I chopped the top). I'm not aware of changes they have made sense I ordered mine but its possible they have made some. I'd talk to Tony or Dave B at FFR for info.

Jeff, I did not see that. Barb may not be happy with you. I would be going with the full fenders and running boards set up. Two questions: .

    1. I'd like to talk with Jonny at Blueprint engines to discuss options and pricing. Maybe he'll read this.

    2. I can't remember whether you paint trucks.

ordered mine around the first of aug delivered Labor Day, some back ordered suspension parts rearranged my build schedule which turned out to be a blessing since I was able to put the frame on its side to install the bottom floor pans, fuel and brake lines gas tank.
Mine is a gen 2 (whatever that means) seems to have plenty of legroom (I an short, so that's a guess ) and enough headroom to elevate seat several inches. Johnny at BlurPrint coaxed me towards a 347 w/TKO 600 which I am thrilled with; first start was last week, lit on first try and sounds like an eight cylinder Harley (way cool)

I'll try not to bug y'all too much. I've read over most of the builds several times. I figered most of it will make more sense once the truck is in my shop.

Nice! That’s 30 minutes down the road. I am on SW side near Med-Center. Will have to keep track of your build.

He ain't never had 3 vehicles transported within a stones throw of each other.....and they are all trucks!

Who else is getting one (besides McGuyver) on the 3rd Coast?

I have a question on inventory....didn't want to start a new thread about it....

When an item is in a box....it is checked off.

When an item is not in a box....it either says "Box 26"....which I don't have yet and I assume will be on its way at some point.....or have an "o". What does the "o" mean? Do I need to call someone?

While I am asking stupid questions.....what does "POL" stand for?

I have been searching all morning for these answers.

    Thanks!

    Joey

POL = Parts Order List. It's their version of a shortage or backorder list. The zeros on the individual inventory box lists should align exactly with the items listed on your POL, which is typically the first page of the shipping documentation packet. This is the master list Factory Five will use for subsequent shipments to complete your kit delivery. If it's not on that list, then they won't know it's missing unless you talk to them. You should have all the boxes. If your list references a box you don't have (in your case box 26) then seems like something was maybe missing/lost during shipment. May not be on the POL. The Stewart drivers are typically very thorough to make sure you receive every single box on your shipping manifest.

    Thanks!

I wish I would have asked Eric for a copy of the shipping manifest. I will call him. I know some boxes were on his list as not shipped.

I have not opened and inventoried any boxes yet. So far I have determined if there is a “0” for the part on the box list that item is also on the POL list. I have several parts that the “0” is checked through and another box number is listed. Assuming these parts were POL when they originally packed the order, parts came in and they were able to pack up prior to the Stewart pickup.
For the boxes I did not receive, the box inventory sheet has a zero on top of it.
