sidepipe cutout on body. Tempalte available?
Hello~!
With the sidepipe cutouts on the Mk IV body. Do any of you have a template for getting the cutout "just right" ? I am wondering if there is way to get it right without having to mount the body on and, install the engine and trans and mount the sidepipes on to get it just right. I would like to do the body first and get it out of the way before doing the rest.
Thanks in Advance,
~Joe

'NO, the only way to get it 'just' right is to mount it and fit it. There is a template in the manual that gets it 'close'.

Not a waxer
Nope. You must have the body on (and in it's final location which will be dictated by the doors) to get the pipe cutout "just right". And by the way, if you think that you can "do the body first and get it out of the way" without mounting it on the chassis WITH the aluminum cockpit and trunk panels fitted and installed you are in for a rude awakening.
