Thanks guys I don't see a way to disconnect the wire at all so i'm thinking of cutting a slit/flap to pass through the large connector and box that i can close back up.
Ed did yours unplug? I don't see how you got the box/conn through that hole. looks like a magic trick

No magic. Not nearly that clever. There was a connector between the power supply and the bulb.
