Looking to build a complete truck

my dream was to build the MK4 cobra with my girls. I live in the northwest so I am limited on driving season with no top. that added with my wife wanting to go on epic road trips when said girls are in college in a few years. Here is my question... the 35 truck is by nature a vehicle with a longer driving season. How is the drive for long distance? what configurations would help make the drive better. Is it possible to mount a trailer hitch to pull a small teardrop style camper?

My best advice is to find a finished one and have you and your wife sit in it. The cab on the small side. With some work a small trailer hitch setup can be made. Best of luck.

Welcome to the forum Adman, I can't help you as I'm only about 20 - 25% through my build. You mention that you are in the NW, where exactly? I'm in Arlington, WA.

Let me know if you would like to stop by some time to see an unfinished truck.
