Did anybody take pix of there axle when they prepped it for the truck?
Any cut off tips?
Did anybody box their brackets in?
Thanks!

Just did mine a few weeks ago. Cut off wheel on a small grinder and a sawzall then cleaned up with a flapper disk. Had it sand blasted to smooth out the marks before I painted it. I did not box any of the brackets.
It was much easier to cut the brackets off by stripping the backing plates and axles off the housing. Plus you can clean and paint those things while they are off.
I'll put pics in my build when I get a minute. Stuck at work now so haven't been home to put it back together yet.
I used a 4.5” grinder and cutoff wheel to cut the bracket welds as much as access allowed. Then I used a small reciprocating airsaw to cut as much as access allowed. Then I used a hammer and chisel to remove the brackets. Then I followed up with a grinder to smooth before prep and paint. Before and after photos attached.
