    110 mph Wind in Colorado

We were essentially in a hurricane most of the day yesterday with winds blowing at a steady 50 mph and gusts reported at 110 mph. We lost power at 5pm and have been on generator power for going on 13 hours now.

    Dang Papa Dave,

It is 100% Worse Where You Are Than Where I Am!
The T.S. down here is nothing compared to that.

At least we don't have to worry about storm surge. Stay safe & dry.

So did the Jet Stream drop down just above ground level to cause all this mayhem?

No idea, Steve. We get this kind of wind here once or twice a year. Yesterday we also got brief periods of heavy rain and small hail. Today it was just windy, but not nearly like yesterday.
