Finish Line Accessories, what's up ???

Anyone know the status of Finish Line Accessories? I placed an order and have heard nothing from them. email and phone messages with no replays. Not trying to rush them just simple inquires on when I might receive my order. I'm patient. Been waiting for a part from FF for over a year. They have my money. Just saying. Thanks.

My experience (and I'm not alone based on previous discussions about them) is that their communication is terrible, but the parts always show up in a reasonable amount of time. I've ordered from them 2-3 times, and each time there's no confirmation e-mail or shipping notification, but parts show up a few weeks later. Of course, the whole Covid situation may introduce additional delays. I have idea what their current situation is.

I have generally posted the same reply when the subject of ********** comes up. They don’t communicate at all but you will get your stuff and your stuff will be quality. My last order included a Lucas toggle switch. It arrived Broken. You can hear and feel the broken parts inside the switch housing. I sent ********** an email requesting a replacement. I figure maybe I would hear something back as I am usually one of the few voices that isn’t beating them over the head for their poor communication and business skills. It’s been many weeks and I’ve heard nothing. So now my standard reply will be, if you order from them you are simply playing Russian roulette. There is zero customer support. They ship when they want to whatever they want to if they want to.

Great products overall but communication is lacking. I never had a problem when I ordered but that was in 2016.

I tried calling the number and it was a voicemail with a message that the owner is “moving, so expect delays”. I can understand it, but it’s being almost two weeks now since my order and no communication whatsoever. I’m considering reporting the transactions to bank as fraudulent since at this point I do not expect to receive my order.

I ordered parts three weeks ago, I called after two weeks and was told by Taylor? that he was moving everything into a new warehouse of his own. He is a one-man operation and he said he would get orders out as soon as he could. I understand his difficulties and I have always gotten what I've ordered from **********, but it still bugs me that you have to pay for the part up front and then wait an undetermined about of time for it to show up. Call him to see where he is on the shipping process. 925-849-6331

Edit: Parts showed up - four weeks.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. Looks like I'll just have to wait. Well I'll wait as long as I can then cancel the order and arbitrate through PayPal is guess. Hopefully it won't come to that. I really believe in supporting the small business. Examples are Russ Thompson, Mike Everson, Breeze, etc. I've purchased from all these guys and have had excellent service. Hopefully Taylor will come through. Would love to see him stay in business but as they say business is business and the customer has to be taken care of. Thanks again for all the input. -Tim

p.s. - It's bad he leave you hanging.

3 weeks. No communication at all. No response to email and no one answers the phone. If I could find the part anywhere else I would cancel. Sigh......

Parts came last Friday. Excellent quality. 6 weeks.

Is there a way to cancel? From the orders list I can only see “re-order” button.

Yes, call your credit card company, then Better Business Bureau
I heard a few weeks ago someone else is looking at buying the business. Have no idea if thats really the case, or wishful thinking.

I am currently a few weeks behind but I am finally shipping orders out and hope to catch up quickly. If you are waiting on your order I will get you a status update as soon as possible. Yeah, I got the same message. I'll give him a little more time but I'll still look elsewhere for other sources just in case.

Yeah, I’m already ordering some stuff from FFR, some from Mike Emerson. Very disappointing all of this.

FWIW, I just ordered some goodies from Finish line, I spoke with the owner he informed me he just moved locations and his order filling/shipping is delayed. He told me 2-3 weeks to get the products I ordered and I am only a 1.5 hour drive from his location.

I think back in 2016 it had different owners. The original fellow who started it, died, and his family, mainly his daughter, kept the place going pretty good, before she opted to sell. Not sure exactly what year that took place?
They do have a good selection, and quality parts, such a shame the customer service has been so bad the last several years.

    Other choices to look at.

Hey guys, just some positive praise for Taylor and **********. I recently placed an order for his side mirror brackets. Taylor had them ready for shipment quickly, then I called to add the thumb knobs to my order. He held the shipment and updated my order so that everything would ship together. Everything arrived today! He did comment on the move and backorders, and seemed genuinely committed, so hopefully you guys get your orders fulfilled quickly.

He should be filling our orders from many weeks ago first but glad you got your stuff.

    EDIT:

I just received my order from several weeks ago. Also, a nice surprise in the box was a replacement switch from a previous order that was shipped DOA.
I sent Taylor a note of appreciation. Hopefully this continues!

Just spoke with Taylor this afternoon. It sounds like he is finally settled into his new location, and is trying to get everyone's orders out ASAP. I told him he may want to check in and let everyone know all the things that have been happening. He said once he catches back up he will.

I recently posted that I was looking for windshield wiper parts to purchase. A couple of forum members recommended ********** as did FFR. I was concerned to use ********** because of the responses to this thread (those prior to the recent post where the are becoming more responsive). I received a PM from a person at a company named Period Correct, LLC who was following my thread. They are in the process of setting up a company offering many of the products offered by **********. They had the wiper parts I was looking for so I gave them a try. I ordered my parts on Friday and received them Monday. There is something to be said for that kind of speedy service. I believe they are still constructing their web site but I suggest taking a look and check them out sometimes to see if they have expanded their line of Cobra parts. Here is their link.

x2 on PERIOD CORRECT!! I've talked with Paul Proefrock in the past to purchase his vent kit. He started his own site and carries many (as the name suggests) period correct replica parts. My inspection is coming up with Illinois and had FFR supplied wiper wheel boxes were not working out (have the old ones). Ordered them from him yesterday and THEY JUST ARRIVED!!! Really great communication, tracking number provided etc. Maybe he can source the parts your looking for if you can't get thru to **********.

I got my wiper kit the other day, about 3 1/2 weeks. I heard a bunch of backed up orders were going out, so maybe they have turned the corner?

I got lucky... A few days after placing an order online, I called them and the owner actually picked up the phone. He said he just moved his shop/warehouse, and he is quite backed up currently working on the July orders. I pleaded with him that my shop is standing still waiting for the parts from him. He was nice enough to ship mine out a few days later.

I like having a vendor that specializes in Cobra parts, but be careful with Period Correct Parts - I was going to order their push button switch, but with shipping it would be $40 versus $21.74 through British Parts NW.
