    Front lower shock mount install

I'm building my 818S on an '04 donor, using the donor front lower control arms. I've located and drilled the holes for the lower shock mount bracket, but I am noticing that the upper surface of the arm is not flat, so the bracket rocks and can't actually be installed flat. I've verified this on my '04 arms and also on '02 arms, so I don't think the arms themselves are damaged.

How have you dealt with this in your build? Did you add a washer under one end of the bracket, or something? Or just get the bolts good and tight and call it good?

Here are some pictures of my bracket installation. If I remember right, they didn't fit perfectly flat but tightening the bolts brings them together. The arm is relatively thin sheetmetal and is sandwiched between the bracket and the backing plate.

OK, thanks. I'm glad I am not the only one who had this.
