    installing dash aluminum

I am having a problem fitting the one piece aluminum dash. The frame gets in the way just a tad before it goes all the way down. Any help?

Protect the frame from being scratched with tape and then flex (bow) the dash just a "tad" to get it in. Another option might be to trim the edges just a "pinch".
I cut my dash in half to make it easier to wire and to fit it in without scratching everything....just a thought.

I had to trim mine a little to fit. You might also find out you need to trim the front of the dash a little so that the body can sit on the mounts provided.

You also may want to consider making it 2 pieces. A front and a top panel.
Makes the wiring and other finishing a lot easier.

Im going to modify mine to 2 piece soon.

Making the dash two pieces is the one main thing I wish I had done. If I ever have to pull my dash out I'll copy the one I made for russ Foster! :-) The easiest way to do it with a stock dash is cut it about one inch back from the bend and get some 1" flat stock aluminum at Home Depot, pop rivet it to the front piece so 1/2" is exposed and use nutcerts to attach the other half
