First Generation 2 Coupe now has PAINT!

Another milestone hit today. My father and I finished up the paint. Next, color sand, buff, and back on the chassis! Check it out...

Thanks everyone! I am really excited on how it came out. It is exactly what I was shooting for. The color is a blend of three House of Kolor Candy's. Candy Apple Red, Brandywine, and Root Beer. We sprayed up almost 20 samples before we hit the color I wanted. Can't wait to see it in the sun.

The white is the stock white that House of Kolor has. No other name than White. Yes, the base coat is Orion Silver.

Ryan, your build continues to look just amazing. Nice work!

I hope to join you on track one day next season, perhaps a late season visit to Road Atlanta or Atlanta MSP (if they ever finish it) or meet in the middle at VIR or Summitt Point.

I know it's a long haul, but will you please seriously consider coming up to SAAC 37 at Watkins Glen, June 7 - 9, 2012? There will be track time available, and based on what I have seen of your entire project I think the odds are strong that you'll win overall best in class for the replicas. My friend is a ****** nut and says this year is somewhat rare in that they will have show classes for replicas, not just concours originals and restorations.

    Guys,
I thought I would post a pre graduation sneak peak pic of Coupe 510. Still have windshield to put in and the tag to put on (if it ever shows up from the DMV). Really sad to see the build coming to an end. I really enjoy this part. Maybe FFR will have a Christmas sale.

Are those the BRE mirrors? I think someone was using a similar style that isn't BRE...not sure what the difference is.

    Marc,
Not Bre's. Ended up using Kawasaki motorcycle mirrors. Look pretty cloe to the Bre, but only about $25 for the pair.

    Holy thread resurrection Batman!!

Just saw this on the thread announcing the new POM contest, and had to bring it back.

This coupe is stunning! The color defies description. What an extraordinary job. I thought bringing the thread back would help others looking at the post.

    Regards,

    Steve
