    Chicago to London cruise

Ok... who’s going to London this year? It looks like we’ll have a few hardy souls driving out in their cars!
As usual, I’ll be heading out Thursday morning and gathering others along the way. Well be headed to Indy on I-65 and heading east from there, passing through Dayton and ending at the hotel in Columbus.
    Who’s up to it?
    FFR 5136 Started as a donor...donor guages, engine, trans,etc. Now...TFS street intake,stage 1 cam, GT40p's,24# injectors and 80mm MAF,70mm TB,Z-spec t-5, and PSE Halibrand wrapped with Nitto 555 G2’s. My ever evolving dream car!!

The drive will be mostly interstate until we leave Indianapolis. Then it’ll be kind of a Rt66 kind of thing. An ice cream stop is always in the plan!

Having lived in Fort Wayne for many years and driving the routes you have highlighted here many times, there's nothing "country road" about them. Route 30 and route 33 are 4 lane divided highways that are just like an interstate. With the addition of occasional at-grade traffic lights along with the usual cloverleafs. FYI.

I think I may be nuts. Route not finalized, but it’ll be just me, white knuckled, scanning the gauges for the slightest anomaly.

Your route looks good as long as you don’t have to meet anyone along the way. That’s where Kleiner navigation get a bit complicated!

I thought about that route as well. Difference of about 20 minutes when I checked google maps. But.... I think I'd rather be with a group than on my own. Just sayin'

... Curious... I'll most likely be part of the group. Looking forward to it. Leaving here shortly to go get my Gen2 tuned... Interested to see the difference.

What is this "complicated" you speak of? Just like the route I mapped out for us all to go to the Texas Meet:

East to west, stopping along the way to pick up others. What could be simpler?

Jeff's route was really designed with help from Billy of The Family Circus cartoon.

    I like it, quite scenic.

Jeff, that makes sense to me cause I’m basically the last stop! If we were headed to Huntington Beach...that would be another story!!

For those headed toward London, I’ll be at the Hinsdale oasis before 0800 and will bug out at 0800. It’s 3 hours to our meeting spot in Indy, and we lose an hour due to time-zone change.

OK, we plan to arrive 7:45 in Hinsdale. It might be good to know who's coming so we have an idea of what to expect. So far:

Sten, Craig, Bryan and Al so far. Al Pacino will meet up at 95th st on 294. We’ll pick up Dan at Fair Oaks on 65, and Kleiner and the usual suspects in Indianapolis.

We’ll also have a chase/support Jeep or two. May have one more roadster at the Oasis.

Steno: Have a great ride, I can't make it too many schedule conflicts plus my new street tires haven't arrived. Given the last time I made the trip with all the rain, won't try it on track tires
